Loire valley is situated in the West of France, along the Loire river.

We suggest in this site our selection of most beautiful and interesting castles of the Loire valley, displayed by proximity of cities. But you must know that Saumur (the western city) is only 60 kms far from Blois (the eastern), and that Tours is approximatively in the middle. So it is easy to lodge in one of theses towns and to drive to all the castles of our selection
